EmpowerMX Announces New Release of
FleetCycle® Production Manager Software for Aviation MRO
Operations
New technology features yield improved
benefits for users
DULUTH, MN, June 16, 2006– EmpowerMX
announces the latest release of its best-of-breed FleetCycle®
Production Manager software application. With this release,
EmpowerMX solidifies its position as the top-rated provider
of next-generation information technology employed by aviation
industry heavy maintenance operations. Today, the in-depth
execution of maintenance programs for six major customers
comprising nearly 3,000 aircraft is effectively managed utilizing
the maintenance intelligence generated and captured by FleetCycle®
Production Manager. The new release, built on a J2EE architecture
that is consolidated and scalable, is now rules-driven and
business process-based to meet the present and future business
requirements of aviation maintenance industry customers. Our
current customers, including four of the world’s 10
largest airlines, will be upgraded to the new release at their
heavy maintenance facilities in the next 6-9 months.
Converting the application to J2EE standards
enabled EmpowerMX development of a Rich Internet Application
(RIA) based entirely on Java standards. Utilizing basic service-oriented
architecture principles, Production Manager can now expose
most business processes as web services for easier data extraction
and interaction with legacy applications, prolonging the life
of existing technology investments. Production Manager also
utilizes Asynchronous JavaScript Technology (AJAX) and XML
to deliver client/server-like features and controls in a web-based,
thin client solution supporting leading open source and third-party
frameworks.
The new release of Production Manager
is certified on Red Hat Linux, Solaris and Windows OS platforms
along with providing support to mainstream database vendors
including Oracle and MS SQL Server. The application can also
be installed (certification pending) on a wide range of J2EE
platforms including WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Oracle's JDeveloper
and also on the Apache Tomcat servlet engine.
From a features standpoint, the new release
has a redesigned labor collection process giving more control
to end users, enhanced schedule management, richer check templating
and task card standards functionality. Critical path management
has been completely revamped with an increased focus on reducing
span times and the manual analysis of tasks on hand. Every
unique feature of the application has been revised with more
complete functionality and enhanced usability for the end
user.
