Ric Anderson Joins EmpowerMX as Senior
Director, Consulting
Maintenance Program Expert to Lead
Aviation Industry Study and Training Efforts
DULUTH, MN, December 5, 2006
– Ric Anderson has joined the EmpowerMX Consulting Services
Group as Senior Director, Consulting. He will be responsible
for aircraft maintenance program studies and training efforts
provided to all segments of the global air transportation
and aerospace and defense marketplace.
Mr. Anderson is an aviation industry
expert with extensive work experience in Federal Aviation
Regulations (FAR) part 121 transport category aircraft operations
& maintenance programs. He has been an active leader in the
development, approval, enhancement and regulatory processes
associated with these regulations. He has published several
articles dealing with aircraft maintenance programs and reliability
analysis and engineering.
Mr. Anderson was director, maintenance and materiel for the
Airline Transportation Association (ATA) of America for the
past 7 years. While with ATA, Ric served as the liaison between
ATA's member air carriers and the Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA); working with both for reasonable rulemaking, guidance
materials, and the safety of the flying public. He also facilitated
ATA's maintenance, engineering, training, materiel, non-destructive
testing, and human factors Councils, Committees, and Subcommittees,
and coordinated numerous ATA specifications and publications;
such as MSG-3. Prior to joining ATA, Ric held a variety of
maintenance management positions, primarily in reliability
analysis and engineering; at FedEx during a 20-year period
of rapid growth and dramatic changes in the airline's fleet.
He started his career as a maintenance professional for Continental
Airlines. .

Ric graduated from several degree programs at Purdue University,
earning an associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology,
and bachelor's and master's degrees (with a minor in labor
law) in Industrial Supervision. He is also the holder of an
Airframe and Powerplant License.
